Friday

4 pm - Check-in begins (but you can arrive earlier if you want to help set up)

6 pm - ​Welcome Dinner - meet your fellow dancers!

7 pm - Kickoff Workshop - Fun Ways to Move Your Feet to Southern Music - Stan Fowler. Discover new tools to make your dancing more fun and creative, whether solo, with a partner or in a group. The folks in the class will drive the direction of the dance. All skill levels!

8 pm - Evening Square Dance!
  • Caller: Phil Jamison
  • Band: Graham DeZarn (fiddle), Martha Burns (guitar), Brent Feito (banjo), Ralph Gordon (bass).

  • Northern Virginia Fiddle Tunes of John Ashby - Sandy Hofferth

  • Bonfire Song Swap (after evening dance) - Lorie Lichtenwalner

Need a break from workshops? How about:
  • Instrument petting zoo - strum a banjo, try out a fiddle, or pluck a few guitar strings
  • Lawn games - bocce, ladder ball, hula hoops, and other diversions
  • Arts and crafts
  • Enjoy the park and its natural beauty. Explore miles of hiking trails. a nearby lake, or just admire nature within the largest greenspace located within the metropolitan Washington, D.C., area.

6 pm - Potluck dinner
